Framlingham College U18 Girls’ have made it through to the regional final of the National Senior Students Team Tennis competition with an impressive 4 sets to 2 victory away at New Hall School, Chelmsford.
Played in cold and calm conditions on Thursday, there were dominant singles wins for India Ball, Flora McWhirter and Liberty Salsby with just the loss of 2 games in their 3 sets.
With a 3-1 lead going into the doubles India and Liberty gave another commanding performance without losing a game to clinch the tie.
The girls will now host the regional final against Highgate School, North London; with the winners going through to the 8-team national finals in Bolton.
The College’s Senior Tennis Professional, Trevor Wright said “A Great result for our girls today, they now have every reason to be confident going into the final qualifying round.”
