For the first time, Framlingham College Prep School hosted a dedicated assembly to highlight, celebrate and reward positive acts of citizenship.
There were a number of individual and group rewards such as Citizenship Badges for children with either the top number of Merits or nominations (from peers and staff), and the Citizenship Bear for the top tutor groups.
The particular theme of the assembly was teamwork, and children were asked to a create a whole school Christmas paper-chain with examples of when they had worked well with others this term written on each slip of paper, in their House colour. We then discussed how the paper-chain represented citizenship within our school: ‘The glue that helps us to stick together.’
