Seven intrepid spellers recently faced a list of 100 words in order to be crowned the Spelling Bee of the year.
Each round saw eliminations until only Georgie Gardens and Ruby Boddy were left standing. After spelling 80 words perfectly we went to sudden death and Ruby was finally crowned Champion Speller 2017. Congratulations to all the finalists and many thanks to: Mrs Harding, Mrs Atkin and Miss Stark for running the evening, Mrs Moon for the programme, Janice and her team for the staging and chairs and to Kim and her team for the refreshments.
