Last term King’s Ely International School invited the College’s international students to join four other East Anglian independent schools in an online, short essay writing competition.
The essay topic examined friendship and the value of social media friendships, with the entrants being divided into three age categories. The schools sent in their three best essays from each age group and an independent judge from Anglia Ruskin University made the final decisions this month.
Thank you to all the entrants for their interesting and thoughtful contributions, but special congratulations to Victor Yu in Year 11 who came top in the senior Years 10 – 11 section. Victor’s essay was perceptive and engaging, and won him a £30 Amazon voucher. Well done to all the students who participated!
