On Wednesday 15th June, Rufus Easey and Will Gladwell were invited to Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge to take part in the National Final of the Translation Bee competition, a very important event in languages.
More than 7000 pupils across the country were enrolled in the Translation Bee competition. The language department of Framlingham College held a class competition, followed by a school competition in March. Rufus and Will were the winners and had the privilege of being one of the 120 finalists in England that were invited to Cambridge.
On the day, they had to translate as many sentences as possible from English to French in just a minute, facing a crowd of pupils and teachers from all over the country. They did very well, both in their performance and facing the pressure. Framlingham College was proud to be represented at this event by Rufus and Will. Bravo!
