Former Framlingham College Student, Emma Greenard has fought off in excess of 3,000 applicants to secure an apprenticeship at the prestigious Lloyds of London.
Emma, who has just finished her A-levels and left the College this summer, did apply like most of her fellow students for a University place. However, during her final year at school, she realised deep down that she wanted to get into Insurance and that a University education wasn’t the right platform for her.
Together with guidance from the school, she decided to apply for one of the ten Lloyds’ Apprenticeship Programmes.
Emma, along with over 3000 applicants, was put through a rigorous application process with numerous interviews, situational tests, psychometric tests and assessment days with more interviews and group exercises!
After the grueling process, Emma was selected for the 15-month apprenticeship and will start on 11th September. The programme gives school leavers the opportunity to begin their career in one of the world’s best-known organisations gaining knowledge of different areas of insurance and of Lloyd’s working environment.
Aimed at students who want to start working after their A-Levels or equivalent, the programme combines employment with the achievement of an Advanced Apprenticeship in Providing Financial Services, as well as an internationally recognised professional qualification with the Chartered Insurance Institute.
