PRESS RELEASE
Framlingham College is delighted to announce that following the success of our Colour Dash event in September, Framlingham College Prep School has adopted a new official charity partner – East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
During the next 18 months (five school terms) we will be hosting various fundraising events, as well as encouraging the pupils to come up with their own ideas.
We are thrilled to be supporting such a brilliant cause that helps children and families in Framlingham and the wider Suffolk community. Currently, EACH is caring for 120 life-threatened babies, children and young people in Suffolk and supporting their families. All their specialist care is delivered free of charge, and they rely on public support for the majority of their income.
End of life care is just one aspect of what EACH does. They provide exactly what the family needs where they need it – whether that’s short break care at the hospice or a music therapy session at home.
As Fram has such a wonderful music department, and so many wonderful musical alumni – including EACH Ambassador, Ed Sheeran – we have decided to set ourselves a fundraising target of £6,000. This amount could fund 40 sessions of music therapy, helping a child communicate or engage, which sometimes has never been possible before.
We will endeavour to keep you updated on our Fundraising events and activities and hope that we can raise as much as we can to help EACH continue to provide its invaluable care.
