On Tuesday morning our Year 7 pupils visited Ipswich Waterfront as part of our Geography studies on Population, Settlement and Urbanisation.
Pupils collected data and made sketches of the area to help them decide if the area is successfully attracting local visitors and tourists. During the morning, they counted traffic and observed the environmental quality of the area, as well as interviewing the manager of the Cult Cafe. They looked closely at the new development of the iconic ‘Wine Rack’ to see if the final stage of redevelopment will be successful at improving the facilities and local environment even further.
In the coming weeks, pupils will write up their findings back at school, before sharing their findings with each other and their parents later in the term. Many thanks to Humanities staff and Mr Rowe for their help and support during the morning.
