Two of our choirs competed in Suffolk Festival of Performing Arts on Tuesday 9th October.
Cambiata Choir (our boys’ choir from Years 7,8 and 9) achieved two first places and one second place, and were commended by the adjudicator for their rich sound, and for producing such confident performances in just six weeks.
Cappella Lumina performed in four classes, and achieved three first places and one second place. They were also awarded the Under 20s Choral Championship, and will be presented with a cup during the Festival Gala concert next month.
It was great to have so many parents supporting us, and we are all very proud of the courageous, musical and energetic performances that were given by every member of the choirs.
Our prize winning performances can be heard again in this year’s Autumn Concert on Friday 9th November, in the HPT.
