Despite the torrential rain and near gale force winds, the U11A rugby squad left Brandeston for the IAPs Rugby Festival early on Wednesday morning in good spirits. Both the competition and the conditions proved to be challenging; however, the team’s trademark character shone through and they remained competitive throughout.
Results were mixed, but the boys finished on a high with an excellent team performance in the group playoff which they won two trys to one. The team made countless tackles throughout the festival and played with an impressive brand of attacking rugby too. Needless to say, the boys were exhausted after all of their efforts, but they should also feel proud of themselves too. Well played them.
