Two of the Framlingham College Choirs performed in Suffolk Festival of Performing Arts on Tuesday 15th October.
Cambiata choir (boys’ choir from years 7-9) and Cappella Lumina (Chamber choir yrs 9-13) each entered 3 different classes, ranging from sacred songs, folk songs and an open class.
The adjudicator Christopher Moore complimented Cambiata on their phrasing and dynamic contrast, as well at their rhythmic unity. Cappella Lumina were praised for their expressive singing, as well as the strong support from tenors and basses.
The marks in every category were fantastic, with Cambiata scoring in the commended section for each performance, and Cappella Lumina gaining two distinctions and one commended, and retaining the Under 20s Choral Championship Cup for the 3rd consecutive year.
We are looking froward to sharing some of the award winning performances from the festival with you all in our Autumn Concert on Friday 15th November.
