To coincide with a Nursery at Framlingham College Prep School Open Day, earlier this month, a new video showcasing the ethos of the learning for very young children has been produced. The video features insight from Head of Pre-Prep, Ruth Steggles, into the way activities are delivered to young children and how they facilitate their development as independent and capable learners.

Asked about the nursery as a whole, Mrs Steggles said: “We are a traditional nursery that aspires to create independent learners who are curious about the world around them and are confident to get their needs met, that includes their learning needs, and who retain that confidence. That is what I hope for children who leave our nursery.
“The most important thing is that children are happy at nursery. If you are happy throughout your whole education, you will learn. If you are unhappy, you won’t. My main job is making sure children are happy and well settled and feel secure. I want them to feel they can approach the adults and ask questions and that they are comfortable with the other children they are with.”
