Chris took up the position of Director of Sport in Spring 2024 and is extremely excited to build on the sport here at Framlingham College and aims to make the department as successful as it can be.
He has high standards and expectations of pupils, the sports staff and himself, and emphasises the importance of giving your best and putting in the effort. He also has a strong desire to help support pupils become the ultimate teammate, some one that is respected by opponents and officials and someone that cares and is kind to others. A play hard but fair mindset of course but winning matches is not the priority. It is the winning at the small things that he will strive to master with all – the development of the individual at their sport(s) and how they move, but equally as a person so they have perseverance, courage, kindness, respect, and aspiration to work and achieve their goals. Having the ability to work with others and learn about themselves and understand the importance and value of teamwork. Inspiring pupils to want to train and get better and enjoy working with their coaches which leads to pupils wanting to represent Framlingham College and feel proud when they put the ‘shirt on’ and feel confident to push themselves far so they can play at the highest level they can. Finally, and most important – he wants pupils to have the best time in creating their story.
