Full Boarding at Our Suffolk Boarding School

Full boarding at an esteemed independent school such as Framlingham College can foster both educational and holistic personal development for children. We are proud to nurture scholars, artists, sportspeople, musicians, actors and innovators at our independent boarding school in Suffolk. We are honoured to have developed generations of exceptional alumni for more than a century. Many of these graduates credit their success to accessing our full boarding experience and being part of a nurturing, fun and vibrant full boarding community.

What Is Full Boarding?

Full boarding is our most immersive boarding option. Students participating in this program live at Framlingham College full-time, only returning home during school holidays. This enables them to develop a sense of belonging and independence that enhances not only their learning but their social development. Outside of the working school day, they can socialise with their peers across year groups and in House, join various clubs and activities, and enjoy individual hobbies and personal passions while under the supervision of our dedicated and highly supportive staff.

Full Boarding Benefits for Students

The full boarding experience helps students thrive academically, socially, and personally. Framlingham College and the Suffolk countryside will become a true home away from home. These settings are where children learn about themselves and establish routines. Our international boarding school’s full boarding benefits for students include:

Community Experience – Develop lasting relationships with friends and peers. Such bonds will enhance teamwork and empathy.

Academic Excellence – Living on campus is conducive to academic success. Pupils and parents will have complete access to Framlingham College’s resources and friendly instructors.

Personal Growth – Living independently helps teach life skills such as time management and organisation.

Extracurricular Opportunities – We have countless learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Students can join one of our many clubs, learn a new craft or skill, or hone athletic ability in their free time.
