On Wednesday 26th March, Framlingham College Prep School took part in our annual Colour Run to raise money for The Sick Children’s Trust, a charity close to our hearts in memory of pupil Holly Bethell.

All members of the school community took part, including pupils, parents, and teachers, with the routes around Brandeston Hall as follows:

  • Reception to Year 2 – 800m
  • Years 3 & 4 – 1200m
  • Years 5 & 6 – 1600m
  • Years 7 & 8 – 2400m

Organised in partnership with the Friends of Framlingham College (FOF), in just a few days we met our target and after 10 days managed to beat last year’s total (£3,374) finishing with an incredible final total raised of £4,520.

This year’s fundraiser was also in collaboration with our Head of the Prep School, Simon Roche, who took part in the ‘ONER’ on Saturday 29th March, a 24-hour 140km (86 mile) race along the Dorset Coast.

The Sick Children’s Trust is an amazing charity that provides families with seriously ill children in hospital a comfortable place to stay during their treatment. Our total will cover approximately 110 nights of care for families within the charity’s network of ‘Homes from Home’ across the UK.

A huge thank you to everyone for all their generous donations and heartfelt messages through our Just Giving page.
