Classes Overview
Aqua Aerobics
Aqua Aerobics is a form of exercise which provides cardiovascular conditioning by increasing your pulse and your breathing rate. Every move works against the resistance of the water helping you to burn calories, improve your fitness whilst supporting your joints to avoid putting them under too much strain.
Aqua Circuits
Aqua circuits is for those who prefer a more targeted workout in an Aquatic setting. Aqua circuits classes are the aquatic equivalent to circuits in the gym. Based on a range of activities and movements, participants use equipment such as weights and specialised floats and move between stations to tone specific muscle groups.
Drills & Skills
Suitable for confident swimmers who swim regularly and feel that they need technical input to progress on. Structured sessions with both long/short distances with lots of work on your technique using a variety of drills and practices to refine your stroke. If you are a recreational swimmer and want to join a coach led session to build fitness/stamina and improve your strokes then please get in touch as we can help you too! This class is not suitable for adult non swimmers or beginners.
Swim Fit
A mix of endurance sets with short burst sprints to get your heart rate up! Swimmers average 1700m in 45mins. Overseen by Dawn – you follow the set working at your own pace and focusing on your preferred strokes. It’s suitable for both adults and confident older teenagers who are looking for a fitness session. This class is not suitable for beginners.
Triathlon
Want another fitness swim session or have you signed up for a swimming challenge or fancy the idea of doing a Triathlon or open water swim and worried about the swim part? Focusing on your frontcrawl stroke, we help to make you smoother, more efficient & therefore more confident in the water. Sessions to suit your ability. Swim with like-minded individuals many of whom have undertaken various open water swims themselves.
