Oscar Welsh has been awarded 3rd place in ‘The Song Academy Young Songwriter 2018’ competition.
Oscar’s song Way You Move was judged by a star studded panel of songwriters, including Tom Odell, Guy Chambers and Imelda May, whose comments were: “unique style”, “Emotional, honest, fabulous phrasing”, “Very interesting musically”.
This year’s competition attracted over 500 entries from cities around the world, with a wide range of genres and styles being represented. Oscar will be performing his prize winning song alongside other finalists at Westfield, London on Sunday 10th June.
