At the weekend, the Peter Pears Gallery hosted the annual Young Art East Anglia Exhibition. This year their theme was “Nature’s Delights”. We were delighted that 13 of our pupils from FCPS were chosen to display their artwork.
The Young Art East Anglia is a competition and exhibition of children’s art for children aged 5 to 11 in East Anglia. It recognises the remarkable range of talents of primary school children in Suffolk and represents the region through art.
Dozens of schools and an estimated 1800 pieces of artwork were submitted for the competition with 350 being chosen to be displayed. Judged by high profile artists such as Maggi Hambling and Nick Butterworth, the exhibition enables East Anglian children to raise charitable donations for Cancer Research UK and it celebrates their artistic output.
