Thursday night saw a shoulder to shoulder .22 Target Rifle (TR) shooting competition against an adult shooting club from Leiston.
As the evening progressed, competition was fierce. Leiston on several occasions contested scores to grab the extra point but to no avail, as Framlingham College conveniently secured victory.
Congratulations go to Mr Dougie Keebles for the overall Top Shot of the evening. Top Shots for the College go jointly to Friederike Fischer and Jonathan Thorp.
The evening finished with a knock out “Polo Shoot”. The objectivewas to hit five polo’s, stuck to a piece of card, with ten rounds before the opponent finished their five.
In the early elimination rounds there were some shock results from both teams. The final saw a shoot off between two from the College, George Donsworth and Sam Ponty. The first attempt was a draw, so with targets replaced, rifles reloaded, a second shoot off was restarted. The eventual winner was Sam Ponty, who shot a well-executed round, leaving George in his wake.
Well done to all with the help of organising, score keeping and making it a great competition.
