Year 11 pupils at Framlingham College have been praised by the Principal for their 2023 GCSE results, which have seen improvements across all grade brackets, including one in ten grades achieved at grade 9 and over one fifth of grades being 9-8.
Principal Louise North said: “We are extremely proud of all of our GCSE pupils, whose hard work and commitment to their studies has produced examination results which are significantly improved on the College’s benchmarks of 2019. Huge congratulations go to our pupils achieving the highest grades, which has resulted in the percentage of grade 9 achievements at Framlingham College double from 2019 and over one fifth of the grades from our 2023 cohort achieved at grade 9-8.
Equally over one third of grades achieved were 9-7, with 28% of our pupils gaining an average of grade 7 and above. Overall, 80% of our Year 11 grades were a five or higher, a statistic which demonstrates our commitment to encouraging each of our pupils as individuals, nurturing their talents and interests to spark their curiosity about their subjects.”
We are proud of the achievements of all our Year 11s because individually they bring attributes and characteristics that mean collectively the school is a rich and vibrant place.”
