On Sunday, more than 150 people descended on the Prep School dressed in tutus, neon sunglasses and other colourful attire. Not a normal Sunday in Brandeston! This was the first ever Colour Dash at the School all in aid of EACH and Tom’s Trust.

On such a gloriously warm day and with the music pumping, the atmosphere couldn’t have been better and there was a real sense of enjoyment at the event that brought together the local community.

The participants could choose whether to complete  1, 2 or 3 laps of a 2km course around the stunning grounds.  As they ran, jogged or walked they were pelted with coloured powder paint by over-enthusiastic volunteers so much so that some people were unrecognisable!

The event raised a healthy £1000 which will be split equally between EACH and Tom’s Trust.

EACH will use the £500 for 14 hours of bereavement support for families in the darkest and most painful of times. For those accessing care and those who have been bereaved, EACH is a lifeline at an unimaginably difficult time.

For Tom’s Trust, £500 will buy 10 sessions of CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) for two children suffering with brain tumours.  This makes an enormous difference to these children, changing their lives and their outcomes and simply wouldn’t be provided for them, if the charity wasn’t in place.
