The annual Christingle Service took place last week and was led by School Chaplain, Rev Brynn Bayman. Pupils sung hymns, listened to readings and collected their Christingles for the service. The orange represents the world. The red ribbon wrapped around the middle of the orange symbolises the love and blood of Christ. The sweets and dried fruit represent all four seasons. The lit candle represents Jesus’s light in the world, bringing hope to those in darkness. The early evenings at this time of year make the candlelit service particularly special.
