It was a spectacular day for a XC race at RHS on Thursday 12th October; the sun shone, the wind was light and the course was not too muddy. A group of ten pupils from the College and fifteen from the Prep School took part in the races.
From the College, eight qualified for the next round and five of those made it into the top 10. This is certainly no mean feat when there are literally hundreds of runners competing for the top spot. Of particularly note was Mimi Salsby who ran in the girls inter race which includes Years 10 and 11. Mimi (Year 10) won the race convincingly leaving her nearest rival a good 200 metres behind,
There were also a number of very good performances from the Prep School children, but pride of place goes to Beth Gardens and Will Singleton who came 9th and 22nd respectively in the Minor Girls and Junior Boys Races.
