The U11 Girls were crowned in2hockey County Champions for the third year in a row on Monday, after a consistent and improving performance throughout the day.
Framlingham (FCPS) scored 27 goals in the pool stages in just 60 minutes of hockey, keeping a clean sheet throughout and recording wins over Finborough 5-0, Culford Prep 9-0, Old Buckhenham Hall 5-0 and St Joseph’s Prep 8-0.
This resulted in a semi-final draw versus Barnardiston Hall, where the girls booked their place in the final with a 4-0 win.
Alongside FCPS in the final was Orwell Park School, who started the final the better of the two sides and took a 1-0 lead into the break. However, FCPS showed character and composure to turn this around and come out 2-1 winners and become County Champions once again.
The girls will now head to the in2hockey East Finals as Suffolk Champions later on in the year. Before that though, the IAPS East Finals await next Monday, also held at Framlingham College.
