Yesterday, the U13 FCPS Girls’ Hockey team won the County Championships for the third year in succession.
They won all of their group games without conceding a goal. The day started with a tight 1-0 win over Ipswich High. They then went on to beat South Lee 3-0, Orwell Park 3-0, Finborough 6-0 and Culford 5-0.
The semi-final saw FCPS take on OBH. It was a good display of hockey and they triumphed 4-1.
This meant for the second year in a row FCPS would face Ipswich School in the County Final. The girls produced a great exhibition of attacking hockey, going on to win 3-2.
The squad should be very proud of their performance throughout the day with some very eye-catching hockey. This tournament win puts them forward to the East Finals in November.
