Framlingham College Prep have won the In2Hockey U13 County Championships for the fourth year in a row.
Playing against the best hockey schools in the county, the girls started the afternoon well, winning their five group games v Ipswich School 2-1, Woodbridge School 2-0, Old Buckenham Hall 2-0, Finborough School 4-0 and South Lee 3-0.
A tough semi-final saw a strong Orwell Park side score a last minute equaliser, which meant the game went to penalty flicks, which Framlingham won 2-1. This set up a final against Ipswich School which the Framlingham girls again won on flicks.
Framlingham College, who are current National U13 IAPS Champions, will now go on to represent Suffolk at the East of England Finals in November.
Coaches Jamie Kingstone and Ed Marland said, “This promises to be another exciting year of sport for Framlingham College. With five current England Hockey internationals at the College, our pupils have some exceptional role models, who inspire and encourage them on days like today.”
