Huge congratulations to the girls U9A Netball team who were recent winners at the annual U9 tournament hosted by Orwell Park.
The team worked very hard to make their way through the early rounds , which involved 8 very good teams from schools around the area. Clear winners against Culford, Barnardiston and Finborough the team then faced Holmwood House in the semi final. The girls confidently took charge of this game, dominating the play and taking huge confidence and self belief from their hard work. Next, the final, played against the host team Orwell Park. This was a very close hard fought game with early chances missed by both teams but Framlingham Prep showed real determination and tenacity to take the lead and then close the game with another shot on target. 2-0 in the final and a very emotional celebration followed.
Thank you to all the parents who came to support, their cheering and encouragement was brilliant. Well done girls, a great effort-Jess Lamprell, Pip Stimpson, Grace Gurr, Matilda Blake, Evie Tassell and the captain of the day Freya Drury. A real team for the future.
