Recently, 50 of our Year 7 & 8 mathematicians participated in the annual UKMT Junior Mathematical Challenge alongside 200,000 other pupils. Of those 200,000 pupils, 25% get a Bronze Award, roughly 10% get a Silver Award and less than 4% get the elusive Gold Award.
This year, 36 out of our 50 participants received an award with 15 bronze, 19 silver and 2 the much-coveted gold award. Special congratulations to Christian H who achieved best in Year 7, and to Ethan P and Alex S who are our Gold Award winners. Alex achieved Best in School and performed well enough to qualify for the next round in June.
