Yesterday we travelled to Redbridge Tennis Centre for the regional tennis finals. Having won the county titles for girls at Under 13 and Under 15 level in June it meant that we took on the county winners from 7 other counties in the east region.

The 3rd Place U15 Team included Georgie Gardens, Tabitha Walker, Lucy Garrard and Tatiana Hearn. They received a bye in the first round so therefore played Forest School in the semi finals. Unfortunately, they went down 4-2 in matches which meant a 3rd and 4th place playoff against The Perse. The girls went on to win the playoff 6-0, securing 3rd place.

The Regional Winning U13 Team included Beth Gardens, Evie Newton, Anna Cogdell and India Prince. They received a bye in the first round so therefore played Belfairs Academy (Essex) in the semi finals. This was a close match and as it was tied at 3-3 they had to play a tiebreak shootout. Beth and Anna played in this and won it 10-7. The U13’s then played Queenswood school in the final and the girls played fantastically well to win 6-0.
