Students presented their three original pieces for their GCSE Drama examination on the 3rd May to an appreciative and enthusiastic audience.  Working on the stimuli of a Van Gogh painting ‘A couple in the Woods’  and Robert Frost’s poem, ‘The Road Not Taken” provided students with a rich vein of material to explore and develop into strong theatre performances. Students presented contrasting pieces from comic to serious to surrealist explorations of consequences of choices, death and redemption. By the end of term students will have written portfolios analysing and exploring the process, the use of theatrical practitioners and approaches as well as the final outcome.
