Eight of our Year 12s, fresh from some excellent end of year exam results, visited the official Oxford University open days this week.
Based in beautiful Christ Church College, the students enjoyed a walking tour led by Mr Goldsmith as he showed them some of his old haunts before having time to themselves to visit other colleges.
Other high points included winning the inter-Year 12 quiz overseen by some current Christ Church students and having the opportunity to watch a live mock interview on stage.
Having spent time listening to admissions talks, discussing specific courses with actual lecturers and experienced dining and sleeping in an Oxford college, the students are fired up with enthusiasm and a number now hope to make applications next academic year.
