On Tuesday 15th March, Brandeston Hall pupils visited Norwich as part of their RE lessons.
The morning started with a visit to the Ihsan Mosque where our guide was quite amazed by the children’s knowledge of Islam and by the wide range of questions that they asked about his faith. From here we walked to the St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cathedral. Here we visited an exhibition of the Turin Shroud and looked at the Stations of the Cross.
After a short lunch in the cloisters at the Anglican Cathedral we had a talk about the Bible, symbolism and Christian worship and then followed a super trail around the cathedral learning a great deal in the process. We then left for home a lot better informed about both Islam and Christianity.
