My Life
Mrs Bloore hails from East Lothian, a pretty coastal region close to Edinburgh. She spent much of her childhood rehearsing and performing music so moving to London to complete a Music degree at Trinity College of Music was a dream come true.
Several years spent as a professional oboist and woodwind teacher led to teacher training and a career in the state and independent sectors as Director of Music in a variety of schools over the last 22 years. Mrs Bloore joined Framlingham College as Director of Music in 2016 and took up the position of HM of Moreau in September 2021. She is an advocate of the importance of Arts education and is involved in our Phab Club at the Senior school. In her spare time Mrs Bloore enjoys cooking and collecting cookery books as well as spending time with her husband, two sons and energetic dog.

St John Baptiste de la Salle is the patron saint of teachers, and his mission was that educators should ‘teach minds, touch hearts and transform lives’. This philosophy is what drives Mrs Bloore and underpins the ethos of Moreau House. Mrs Bloore’s vision is of a House where the values of discipline before freedom coupled with resilience are balanced with dignity, humility and care for others within in a loving community. There will undoubtedly be difficulties and worries in every pupils’ time at the school, but in Moreau we want to instill in every child the faith that they are cared for equally and without condition. They should feel empowered to work towards achieving their ambitions and will be encouraged to challenge themselves along the way. We can’t change a child’s path in life, but we will go on the journey with them, giving support at every step and encouraging them to make choices that are healthy for themselves and others. The partnership between school and parents is paramount, and in Moreau we aim to develop lifelong connections with a child and their family, ensuring that their experience at Framlingham College transforms their life as they feel esteemed, nurtured, challenged and celebrated.
