Dan Jones joined Framlingham College as Deputy Head of the Prep School in September 2024.

Dan joined us from a British International School he was working at in Kenya – St Andrew’s Turi – as Director of Co-Curricular and Deputy DSL for 5 years. Prior to that, Dan worked in Prep Schools both in the UK and abroad and has enjoyed multiple senior roles including Assistant Head Pastoral, Director of Music, Houseparent and Assistant Director of Studies.

Dan’s passion for Prep School life stems from providing children with a breadth and depth of education and experience, like he has enjoyed in his own upbringing and career. An ex-professional percussionist himself, he has enjoyed performing music at the highest level all over the world as well as pursuing his own academic studies. To broaden his knowledge-base about Senior Leadership, Dan recently completed with Distinction a distance-learning Masters in Business Administration through the University of London.

Outside of school, Dan enjoys keeping fit at the gym, contributing to community life – such as being the Staff Club President at his last school – and maintaining other hobbies, such as flying lessons, which he hopes to take back up now he has returned to the UK. Dan has a wife and two children, all of whom are musical and sporty and share Dan’s passion for education.
