Simon Roche has been in education since 2003, teaching English and Drama to all ages and working in several sectors (Independent, State, and International).

He joined the College as Head of the Prep School in September 2024 from St Edward’s, Oxford, where he was the Senior Housemaster and their Master in Charge of Cricket and has also been a Life Skills Consultant for Sir Clive Woodward’s specialist ski school in the Alps.

Simon works as a Governor at The Hawthorns Prep School and chair of the Educational Committee. He has a range of passions such as cricket, climbing, music, and literature. In recent years, his love of long-distance running has, in his words ‘got out of hand’ having completed the Marathon Des Sables twice finishing in their elite category.

Simon and his family, Cerian, Louis and Alby love the great outdoors and coastal walks, and look forward to further exploring the Suffolk coastline.
